In conjunction with Mid-Autumn Festival, Vouk Hotel Suites gave out 1,000 pieces of mooncakes with prawn crackers to 13 charity houses around Penang to celebrate this joyful season with those elderly people and kids as part of the company CSR program.
Some of the houses that have been visited were Crystal Family Home, Handicapped Children’s Centre, Lotus Old Folks Home and more.
Activities like ice breaking session, games and photography session were carried out during the visit.
“We strongly think that the old folk and kids at home should not be left to feel that they are forgotten in this festive season,” said Mr. Adrian Teow, Managing Director of Vouk Hotel Suites.

Vouk Hotel Management has collaborated with Feed the Poor group (lead by a group of youth) to distribute goodie bags to the homeless people around George Town, Penang.
The event was held on the 6th September 2016 night and together with the participation of M Academy group, we had managed to gather up to 150 volunteers from overseas and locals to join this CSR program.
We prepared for 300 bags of items inclusive of food and bread. And also daily use items such as slipper, bath towel, face towel, and shaving kit. The packed food was prepared by our Vouk Hotel Suites Chef Wafi and his team.
Volunteers were divided into 3 groups to cover the 3 hot spots at Komtar, Kapitan Keling area, and Upper Penang Road area.
To ensure the success of the event, the team has devised a plan to avoid probable risks that may occur, with the extra help from the RELA as well for safety and security measures.
Feed the Poor event went on successfully and we hope that the message doesn’t only go across to the volunteers as just an event but hope that it helps to instill a feeling of being grateful and to help more people.
